Fun Spring-Time Recipes for Kids

Spring time is officially here; which means it’s time to get outside and enjoy the sun, spend time with family, and most importantly, eat good food. However, getting your kids to eat different foods can be a tricky task. Here are some fun, kid-friendly, spring-inspired recipes that are sure to bring a smile to everyone’s faces. These recipes are perfect for backyard gatherings, birthdays, or just a lazy day in the sun.

1. Fairy Berries: Try dipping fresh strawberries into some pink colored chocolate for a fun, festive treat.

2. Spring Showers Cupcakes: Make cupcakes and let the kids decorate them with designs of flowers, sunshine and rain!

3. Fruit Skewers: Fruit skewers make for a fun, healthy and yummy mid-afternoon snack while playing in the backyard.

4. Chicken Fajitas: Simply warm a stack of tortillas, grill some chicken, and collect all of your kids favorite toppings, and let them build their own fajitas!

5. Nutter Butter-Fly:  Slice apple slices, spread nutter butter, and make little apple “sandwiches”. Make several of these. Grab a couple carrots as well. Put a carrot in the middle of the plate, and arrange the apple “sandwiches” in the shape of wings to form a butterfly. Great finger food!

6. Frozen Yogurt Pops – Take cups of fruit flavored yogurt, remove the foil topping. Stick a popsicle stick in the yogurt, cover with foil and freeze overnight. Carefully pull the frozen pop from the plastic container and decorate as desired to create funny faces with marshmallows, chocolate chips, etc.
