Holiday Cocktails

 The holidays are about so much more than just good food, there has to be good drinks as well! No holiday celebration is complete without a cinnamon-y, yummy cocktail to accompany the great music, awesome food, and irreplaceable company.
 
Below are a few cocktails that are sure to keep you in the holiday spirit and feeling warm and cozy inside and out (the Vodka Apple Cider is a favorite at holiday parties).

1. Hot buttered rum
- dark rum (2oz.)
- 1 butter patty
- 1 lemon slice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- boiled water

2. Spicy rum cocoa
- dark rum 2oz.
- chocolate liqueur ½ oz.
- milk 2oz.
- brown sugar 2 tsp.
- dash of cinnamon 1 dash
- thin slice of habanero chili (can be omitted)
- whipped cream

3. Bailey's peppermint cream
- Bailey's 1 ½ oz.
- hot chocolate 4 oz.
- candy cane 1
- whipped cream
- mint leaf 2

4. The Grinch
- lemon juice ½ oz.
- simple syrup 1 tsp.
- maraschino cherry 1

5. Glogg (AKA mulled wine)
- red wine 2 bottles (750 ml) 
- 5 oz. brandy 5 oz.
- dried orange zest 2 oz.
- cinnamon sticks 2 oz.
- whole cardamom seeds 20
- whole cloves 25
- blanched almonds 1 lb.
- raisins 1lb.
- sugar cubes 1lb.
- cheesecloth
- wire grill to cover pot
- matches (yes, matches)

6. Vodka apple cider
- sparkling apple cider 2 oz.
- vodka 1 oz.
- lemon juice ½ oz.
- simple syrup ½ oz.

 
7. 10. Poinsettia
- cranberry juice 3 oz.
- Cointreau ½ oz.
- champagne

8. 11. Christmas cookie
- peppermint schnapps 1 oz. 
- Kahlua 1 oz.
- Bailey's Irish Cream 1 oz. 

9. 12. Candy cane
- vodka 1 ½ oz. 
- peppermint schnapps ½ oz.
- white creme de cacao ½ oz. 
- crushed candy cane

10. 15. Spiked eggnog
- eggnog
- dark rum, whiskey, bourbon or whatever 1 ½ oz.
